The 2011 NT Research and Innovation Awards were held on Friday 14 October at the Darwin Convention Centre.
Menzies School of Health Research was a silver sponsor of this years event and celebrated several wonderful achievements on the night.
A big congratulations to Menzies’ Tsin Yeo on his wonderful achievements in winning both the Tropical Knowledge Research Award and the Chief Minister’s Award.
The 5th Charles Darwin medal was also awarded to Professor John D Mathews, foundation Director of Menzies. This is the NT’s most prestigious award in research and innovation, and is made for lifetime achievement of significance to the NT.
Kylie Dingwall and Annette Dougall (former Menzies employee, now at JCU) were also finalists in the NT Young Tall Poppy Award, which is also excellent recognition of the research excellence and leadership they are showing at such a young age.
